10km of hospital cubicle track installed

Astralux dealers have recently completed the installation of 10km of cubicle track to four large hospital projects. The projects were a mixture of new build and refurbishment cases, funded via PFI and LIFT. Astralux were involved at the design stage in each case.

Astralux dealers have extensive experience in the forming and installation of cubicle track systems in the healthcare sector including anti-ligature systems for use where vulnerable people may be present. Astralux have pioneered innovative fixing methods to ensure a safe and secure fitting of cubicle tracks without the need for bulky access equipment. This is particularly important as the tracks are invariably installed as one of the final fittings before medical equipment is put in place.

Co-ordinating four substantial projects at one time necessitated careful planning to ensure site timetables were met and phased handovers could be made when needed. Astralux dealers have dedicated project managers to ensure this level of co-ordination is achieved on every job.

On these healthcare projects Astralux also provided over 2,250 vertical blinds as well as dim-out blinds, curtain track, standard window curtains and cubicle curtains. In some hospitals an anti-microbial finish was required to help combat hospital acquired infections and Astralux provided BioCote^® on track and blind hardware as well as blind and curtain fabrics.

These projects totalled over £750,000 illustrating why Astralux and its dealers are probably the most experienced installers of tracks and blinds in the healthcare sector today.
