661 London Road, Hounslow

Client: Nottinghill Housing
Architect: Munkenbeck and Marshall
Type of works: supply of 250m Italia-80 steel louvred panels

661 London Road in Hounslow is a new development by Nottinghill Housing, designed by award-winning architects Munkenbeck and Marshall.

The apartments are arranged over two buildings connected by a glass link and feature three communal roof terraces which offer remarkable views across London.

250 linear metres of Lang+Fulton’s Ialia-80 steel louvred panels were specified for the balustrading around the roof-top gardens to provide screening, shelter and security. The 1,200 x 1,642mm panels were framed with 50 x 50 x 3mm angles for bolting to the structural framework.

The total supply included seven single-leaf gates for maintenance access and several small compounds around ventilation plant and service areas. The panels were hot-dip galvanized and finished with a polyester powder coat in RAL7016.
