A new 30 minute FIRE-RATED sliding door system

Eclisse, Europe’s largest sliding door manufacturer, is proud of announcing the release of a new certification for its range of 30 minute Fire-rated sliding door system (FD30 system). This is an important achievement, which represents a step forward for a wider and wider range of products under the Eclisse brand.

This new product, which required a dedicated effort by Eclisse R&D group, combines the advantages of the sliding door system technology with the building control safety requirements. The new version of the Eclisse FD30 system was tested to BS EN 1634-1:2008 for fire resistance at Cambridge Fire Research, which is an independent UKAS accredited testing laboratory.

Not only did Eclisse obtain a new certification, but it also added a wider opening frame to the existing range. From now on the Eclisse FD30 frames are available for 1,024 x 2,040mm doors, giving a maximum passage size of 1,000 x 2,030mm. The framework is made of galvanized steel and comes with a special high-density wooden jamb kit.
