After three years of research and development, global flooring and finishing brand leader Gerflor has released its new decorative wall covering range called Mural Calypso.
Replacing Taradouche Mural with immediate effect, the new Mural Calypso range offers improved technical performance and is available in 19 colours from pastel shades to bright tones. Its colours coordinate with Gerflors Elegance and Brazilia anti-slip flooring for showers and bathrooms, as well as flooring ranges such as Tarasafe, Taralay or Mipolam for use in other rooms, providing customers with a huge number of design combinations.
The PVC wall covering uniquely comprises a transparent wear layer over coloured backing, which guarantees a perfect finish to the hot welding process. Available in 2m width rolls and with a thickness of 0.92mm, Mural Calypso meets fire safety standards and emits no harmful particles. It is 100 per cent compliant with Reach regulations and completely recyclable at the end of its life.
Mural Calypso is a hard wearing solution that has a high level of resistance to tearing and its smooth, non-porous surface reduces the risk of hospital-borne infection. Completely hygienic, with a washable surface, it is anti-bacterial by nature and is also dressed with fungicidal treatments.
A full set of accessories, including welding rods and fittings for internal wall angles, are available from Gerflor to smooth the installation of Mural Calypso. Experts recommend installing the wall covering over the flooring edge and to use the diminishing profile for a perfect junction between the two, guaranteeing a completely waterproof system.
Offering a complete range that will satisfy both architects and installers requirements, Mural Calypso is available now.
