A well-proportioned conservatory

A well-proportioned conservatory

Often the simple geometry of a building can be transformed by adding an architectural feature such as a conservatory or orangery. Careful consideration needs to be given to proportion, style and detail to provide an addition which is in keeping with the host building.

Here, Vale designed this conservatory for a significant Georgian property. Reeded columns and simple capitals have been inspired by existing detail on the front of the house. The lead roof is topped with a decorative domed roof lantern and features specialist joinery to match that of the clerestory windows.
