Acoustic Fabric Walling
Acoustic fabric walling is a site built system that allows a suitable alternative to traditional acoustic panels. Sound can either be absorbed, reflected or diffused. In many rooms, flat reflective surfaces can cause interfering reflections and excessive reverberation, which corrupts music quality, speech clarity and general hearing comfort. One approach to controlling these reflections and excess reverberation time is to use absorptive panels.
The stretch fabric wall system in an aesthetic solution that consists of a plastic track, an acoustic core material and an acoustically suitable fabric finish. The track is attached to the substrate, the acoustically absorbent core material is fixed between and the selected fabric is stretched over the assembly, held tightly in place by the track system.
Another approach to controlling these reflections and excess reverberation time is to use absorptive panels. We have developed a simple and cheap method of fixing these panels which allows easy mounting and demounting of panels. Absorptive panels are used extensively in acoustic designs to control room reflections and reverberation. Workmanship and ease of mounting/demounting are often a problem. We can also offer complete custom made panels and easy mounting/demounting solutions. Fabric finishes can be any fabric that is acoustically transparent.
