Icopals Monarfloor® range of acoustic systems is designed to reduce sound transmission on both new-build and conversion or refurbishment projects.
In order to minimise airborne and impact sound sources, Monarfloor® acoustic systems utilise low-resonance acoustic chip (LRAC) foam. The foam provides effective acoustic control by absorbing the energy from airborne sounds and isolating impact sources from the surrounding structure.
Monarfloor® LRAC high-performance foam systems have been developed to suit concrete, timber and steel floors and masonry walls.
Research has shown that reconstituted foams, particularly LRAC, have lower natural frequencies than virgin open- or closed-cell foams, giving excellent impact improvement and superior stability within a single layer.
All acoustic flooring systems are designed to comply with BS 6399:Part 1:1996.
