Acoustis 50 report highlights benefits

27 Apr 2009

A 22 page report by Acoustic Consultant/Engineer Alain Tissieyre describes how the Mermet fabric 'Acoustis 50' works to improve the intelligibility of the spoken word.

Developed initially for use in theatres and opera houses, its use has quickly spread internationally and is delivering improvements in swimming pools, call centres, school canteens - anywhere suffering from the 'Cocktail party hubbub'.

Being glass fibre based, the fabric is dimensionally stable and delivers excellent fire ratings (BS 476 Pt 6 Class 0). 12 Colours as standard, it takes digital print exceptionally well.

Only three quarters of a millimetre thick, yet delivering high levels of acoustical absorption, it cleans easily, produces no loose fibre inhalation risk, is safe and hygienic in use and is labelled and certified to both 'Oekotex Standard 100' and 'Greengaurd Children and Schools'.
