Altnagelvin Area Hospital

Specialist Joinery Group, supplied and installed bespoke Joinery and fitted furniture in a successful partnership with Main Contractors Farrans Healthcare and Architects Hall Black Douglas. Farrans were awarded the South Block Phase 3.2A as the first phase of a Performance Related Partnering (PRP) framework contract. Based on the successful execution of Phase 3.2A Farrans were subsequently awarded Phase 3.2B Extension and Specialist Joinery were the successful domestic sub contractor. Our success and performance on Phase 3.2A and further commission on Phase 3.2B is testament of our ability to consistently deliver quality and excellence.

Our extensive experience in Healthcare enabled us to assist the design team with buildability and product lifecyle advice. It is of particular importance in public sector projects to demonstrate the long term value of your product. It is our ability to analyze this level of detail in our designs that sets us apart from competitors and secures our position as market leaders in the manufacturer and installation of fitted furniture and bespoke joinery for Healthcare Projects.

Our experience in the Health Care sector, enabled us to understand the complexities of this project and deliver to and beyond our clients and project team’s expectations.

We engaged in highly detailed planning and programming of the works throughout phase 3.2A & 3.2B, to ensure our ability to do the work. Any delay in our works, could effect the project team’s performance and as this is a Performance Related Partnering Agreement, jeopardize our ability to win future work.

Careful coordination between Farrans Healthcare and Altnagelvin Hospital Estates management and ensured that SJG delivered this programme within a strict timescale and to budget.
