Altro Launches Revolutionary New XpressLay™ Range

Leading flooring and walling products manufacturer, Altro, launched Altro XpressLay™ this month – a revolutionary new safety flooring which can be installed without the use of adhesive.

Altro XpressLay™ is the first ever safety floor which can be installed using tape rather than traditional contact adhesive, making it extremely quick, easy and clean to fit. It can be laid over existing problem surfaces such as vinyl tiles or flaky painted floors, helping to save the time, cost and the disruption associated with removing and disposing of existing subfloor.

With a slip-resistance value greater than 36, Altro XpressLay™ offers the uncompromising protection against slips and trips which Altro’s safety flooring is known for. It is available in eight popular colours taken from the popular Walkway 20 range – Bone, Cloud, Dolphin, Skyline, Fog, Black, Blue and Cherry – making it the perfect match to any design scheme.

The unique product formulation and profiled underside means that Altro XpressLay™ can be used on fresh concrete sub floors up to 97% relative humidity, meaning there is no need to wait for a new concrete sub floor to reach 75% RH or apply a surface damp-proof membrane.

With up to 10% recycled material and a BRE generic A+ environmental rating, specifying Altro XpressLay™ can also help clients to meet their sustainability targets. It is 100% recyclable and, because there is no adhesive, post consumer waste could easily be recycled at Altro’s in-house safety flooring recycling facility with none of the usual problems with sub floor, screed and other contamination.
