Aqualogic recently supplied Italian DMP electronic sensor taps and 5lpm, pressure compensating aerators to the Marriott Hotel, Swansea.

The Marriott Hotel in Swansea, South Wales, is situated on Swansea Bay surrounded by the sights of the enchanting Gower coastline whilst also being close to the bustling city life of the Martine Quarter. This luxury 4* hotel is host to many functions, weddings, and events, combined with the day to day running of the hotel its usage of utilities such as water and energy are soaring.

With efficiency being a topic on the agenda of the eco meetings within the facility and the Marriott HQ putting precedence on energy initiatives throughout the company the need to provide savings was high.

Aqualogic supplied 119 5lpm, pressure compensating aerators for all bedroom washbasins and 9 high quality Italian DMP electronic sensor taps for the communal washrooms. Both interventions provided savings on water and also associated energy used to heat hot water. The sensor taps alone will provide a saving of approximately 314 cubic meters of water per annum (mᵌ/annum) and an associated energy saving of £199 per annum. The estimated total cost saving from this intervention is £1,042 per annum.
