Strengthening its growing specification team, ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions has appointed a new Senior Specification Manager – Barry Kirkland.

Joining the global leader in door opening solutions from decorating manufacturer Crown Paints, Barry will be responsible for developing and overseeing the emerging specification team, using his experience to grow sales across all Security Solutions brands.

With over 20 years experience in the specialist construction products industry, previous roles include Sales Development Director with world leader Icopal and Sales and Marketing Director for an industrial roofing products company.

Speaking on his appointment at ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, Barry said: “My previous experience has provided me with a strong understanding of the construction and specification industry. I look forward to applying this and growing ASSA ABLOY’s complete specification solution across a wide variety of market sectors.

“I will implement new strategies to deliver results within the specification sector, leveraging the strengths of all these well respected brands – ASSA ABLOY, ASSA, UNION, Adams Rite and Trimec, and working with a recognised and established team.”
