BBC House, London

Type of works: supply and installation of Steelsorba acoustic panels.

BBC house in London required a sound absorbing product for acoustic control within a recording suite, used for broadcasting overseas. The suite was built as a room within a room construction to isolate both vibrational and airborne sound going into or out of the studio. An acoustic absorption product was required to line the inner walls of the studio. Steelsorba acoustic panels were selected for their high acoustic performance and long term durability. The panels were powder coated Light Grey to give a high tech image and also for increased scratch resistance. The panels suitably met the acoustic requirements for the BBC and also created the modern look they wanted to achieve within the studio.
