The Project: Beaufort Lodge, Grove Road, Woking, Surrey
Specifiers: Churchill Retirement Living Group
Electrical & Gas Engineers: GP Plumbing & Heating
The Heating Solution: Strada DBE

The complex features 46 one and two bedroom apartments with communal facilities such as an Owners’ Lounge incorporating easy to use computer equipment, a Library, Guest Suite plus a “Wellbeing Suite”.

In total, 127 Jaga Strada DBE (Dynamic Boost Effect) fan assisted radiators have been recently installed in all apartments, in the guest accommodation facilities and the lounge area. The DBE technology works perfectly with low-flow temperature renewable heat sources, maximising the sustainable output – perfect for the complex, which has two centrally located air-sourced heat pumps.

The Strada DBE has built-in convector fans and offers three different heating options – Standby, Comfort and Boost. The Boost option is of particular benefit to the elderly residents, who can feel cold weather and changes in outside temperature acutely, as it provides a quick injection of heat when needed.

The Strada DBE was specified by Churchill Retirement Homes due to its virtually silent operation, wide range of models, energy efficiency & simple controls.

The radiators were installed by GP Plumbing & Heating who worked closely with Jaga to ensure the products would optimise the chosen heat pump system’s performance and would perform reliably for many years to come. Beaufort Lodge was the first of many Churchill Retirement Living projects which have specified Jaga’s heating solutions as part of a larger partnership to ensure all retirement accommodation has a sustainable and energy-efficient heating system.
