Bohle Revolutionises All-Glass Balustrades
The new Balardo balustrade system from Bohle Ltd has wholly redefined all-glass railings. Intelligently constructed and quickly installed, Balardo is a modular, all-glass balustrade system with a simple, intuitive installation procedure that reduces the amount of time and effort both at the planning stage and throughout installation. It even allows for the easy retro-fitting or replacement of glass panels without the need for dismantling the support structure. The system features a versatile yet strong steel support profile that can be attached from above, laterally flush to a building or laterally independent of flooring installations covering most typical applications.
Balardo can be used with variable flooring installations of up to 180 mm and will accommodate glass panels with spans up to 2.4 metres and heights of up to 1.3 metres. No drilling of the glass panels is necessary reducing processing costs and crucially installation requires no expensive special tools. Simply attach the support profile to the surface, insert the clamping system, drop in the glass panels from above, clamp them in place with wedges then finish with the clip-on facing panel.
Commenting on the launch of Balardo, Bohle Sales Promotion Manager, Alic McCabe said, Quality, value and safety are at the heart of all Bohles products and the Balardo system is no exception. Balardo is type inspected with a host of test certificates including VDE testing to DIN 18032 part 3 and LGA accreditation. It is suitable for all kinds of applications; in flat areas or on stairs, in buildings or outside, in public and private construction projects. Put simply, it is flexible, economical, simple, safe and secure. Bohles reputation for offering expert advice extends to assisting users with structural calculations and advising on the appropriate system components to use.
