ReSpace Acoustics solve a major acoustic problem in the refectory for Brighton and Hove City College.

The interior of the building is modern industrial with exposed service ducts and a metal soffit. These hard surfaces caused sound to echo around the room causing a lengthy reverberation time. The more students that used the facility, the worse the problem, meaning the room was unbearable at busy times.

ReSpace Acoustics installed 40no. Ecophon Master Solo acoustic rafts beneath the steel soffit. These rafts dampened the sound sufficiently to create an acoustically comfortable environment for relaxing and collaborative learning. The clean lines of the rafts look excellent with the industrial style design of the interior.
