Bristol Schools

26 Sep 2008

Type of works: supply and installation of hardwearing signage, manufactured in steel and aluminium.

When major building contractors built eight new schools in Bristol, Wards of Bristol were pleased to be a part of the signing contract in conjunction with Bristol city council. Working with the corporate design department of the council, Wards of Bristol were able to reproduce the corporate style throughout the schools, whilst retaining the individuality and character of each school as reflected in the signs.

Manufacturing hardwearing signage was key to the success of the project, and a combination of steel and aluminium worked well in this endeavour. Screen-printed text and logos ensured durability due to its vandal-resistant qualities.

Wards of Bristol undertook full installation of the signage, including internal directories and doors signs for over 200 doors for each school. Statutory signs were also supplied for some schools including fire exit and health and safety signs.
