Ecobuild was particularly busy for Reynaers Aluminium and saw the company officially presented with their ‘Secured by Design’ certificate by SBD’s National Operations Manager Jon Cole.

“Gaining the ‘Secured by Design’ approval is a natural progression for Reynaers as our window and door systems are used in so many residential and commercial developments nationwide,” said John McComb, Reynaers Director of Technical Services, who received the certificate on behalf of the company.

“We are at the forefront of UK security testing on fenestration systems and have been for the past ten years. Now, with our full membership of the SBD initiative we have further strengthened our commitment to work even more closely with the ‘Secured by Design’ team, keeping security at the very centre of our ongoing product development programme.”

To date, windows within Reynaers Eco and Concept systems have been successfully tested and approved to SBD requirements, and a number of other products are currently undergoing testing.

The Ecobuild exhibition again lived up to expectations with high visitor numbers and inquiry levels on the Reynaers Aluminium stand. “There was a good mix of architects, developers and main contractors throughout the three days of the show,” confirmed Reynaers Marketing Manager Rebecca Cope.

“We had considerable interest in all our products on display, but particularly in the new, innovative Reynaers Concept System 104, the window system that is suitable for Passive Buildings.

“Because the new system achieves a market leading thermal insulation level and Uw value of 0.77 W/m²K for a comparable aluminium window, it complements use in Passive Buildings as a result of the triple glazing and the high level of insulation within the profiles.”

There was significant interest too in the Airmax parallel opening window system, which was integrated into a curtain wall feature on the stand. This also included the new CW 60 solar, a curtain wall system incorporating photovoltaic panels and a sun shading systems clearly demonstrating the versatility of the Reynaers product range.
