BWEA releases background briefing on Offshore Wind Round 3 announcement

BWEA the UK’s leading renewable energy trade body is today releasing a background briefing document ahead of tomorrow’s announcement by the Prime Minister of the results of the Crown Estate’s tender competition for Round 3 - the next generation of offshore wind farms.

The press conference will now take place in London at 10.30am tomorrow at a venue to be confirmed later today.

BWEA Director of Economics and Markets, Dr Gordon Edge will be in attendance at the press conference and will be available for comment and interview afterwards. BWEA spokespeople will also be available for studio and telephone interviews throughout the rest of the day.

The briefing sets out the background and history of Round 3 and addresses key issues facing its delivery by 2020.
