Cartonplast Group Sees Commercial Benefits To Codehandle

Cartonplast Group is enjoying the benefits of UNION’s innovative Codehandle, which has been used to provide access to its commercial premises in Doncaster.

The food and beverage industry’s leading manufacturer of reusable layer pads for the transportation of glass containers and cans, Cartonplast Group’s offices and factory in Doncaster is one of nine international locations. Its highly successful pool system – a sustainable logistics cycle – has made it one of the town’s most important employers.

Installed within the commercial premises, providing access from the reception to the main offices, Codehandle from UNION has also been used on executive board member’s offices and on a small factory entry.

A cost effective access control solution, Codehandle facilitates keyless entry, thanks to its attractive coded lever handle that can store up to nine user codes and one administrative user ID. Eliminating the need for costly and difficult to manage key distribution, Codehandle is also easy to install and can work alongside existing access control or security systems.

Simon Wilson, Regional Sales Manager for ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, said: “Codehandle is ideal for commercial office spaces, whilst it affords protection for staff and equipment during the working day, its key benefits of access, easy management and cost are all top of most commercial specifications.

“Cartonplast is a very forward thinking organisation, so it is not surprising they are amongst the first businesses in the UK to use Codehandle to reduce the cost and security issues associated with key distribution. Plus, the streamline aesthetics are in keeping with the office’s modern interior.”

Viv Clarkson from Cartonplast Group, added: “Being based on a business park, it’s important we are able to restrict entry to the main factory and office areas to staff only. Codehandle allows us to do this without the hassle of redistributing keys when an employee joins or leaves the company. This is a really cost effective way of managing access and creating different levels of access throughout the building.

“In addition, should we move premises we are able to take the Codehandle device with us and simply re-install it, making it a long term and sustainable security solution.”
