Cavity trays

Cavity Trays Limited is currently the only tray manufacturer awarded European Technical Approval and is the longest-established specialist in its field. Cavity Trays supplies products accompanied with performance-liability protection for the benefit of architects, builders and clients, and is responsible for introducing the term Cavity Trays into the building language.

In excess of 240 designs are manufactured for the cavity wall, addressing all construction details. Rain will penetrate an exterior skin and cavity trays are designed to prevent water ingress gravitating or permeating to parts of the structure that must be kept dry.

The pre-formed tray for stepped and staggered gable abutments is known as the Type X. Each tray is supplied with its ready-shaped flashing already attached.

Type C trays are for use with lintels. Available pre-shaped to suit all styles and permutations of cavity wall lintel, trays are also self-supporting and cannot sag, distort or puncture like traditional damp proof courses.

Trays are manufactured from Injection-moulded DPC Pethylene for BS 5268-3: 2006 compliance with lead flashing to BS 12588:2006.
