Cembrit Does a wizard job at dairy farm

A recent project to build a new dairy unit on a Welsh hill farm has provided the ideal showcase for Cemsix corrugated sheeting from Cembrit. With challenging weather conditions and picturesque scenery, Pen Y Graig Farm was the perfect location for Cemsix, with its robust performance and traditional appearance.

This project saw the construction of an additional dairy unit which comprised cattle accommodation, parlour and associated handling facilities. Work also included the integration of an underground slurry storage together with associated earth works and access. Installed by Cled Evans Construction, the building includes 90 tons of steel and Cembrit’s Cemsix sheets in grey. A spokesman for Cled Evans explained "We are reliant on being provided a good service and delivery flexibility, as site time’s increase with the large size of these buildings. Cembrit is an efficient company and our area representative, Phil Lewis, is knowledgeable and dedicated. In terms of the material itself, we are particularly impressed with the consistency and dimensional tolerance of the corrugated sheets; they are incredibly straight, which makes it very straightforward to lay.”

Incorporating the latest technological advances, Cemsix allows designers to clad agricultural or industrial buildings in a Class 0 fire rated, rust and rot-proof material that will last for decades. Manufactured using Portland cement, together with a formulation of superior blended synthetic and cellulose fibres and reinforced with strengthening strips and available with superior colouration systems, Cemsix is produced to the highest European standard.
