The project was to convert a previously unused central well area within an office complex into an internal circulation area and to provide a roof garden for staff to escape to during lunch breaks.

The double glazed Em-Glaze Modular Rooflights incorporated electric actuators, providing light and ventilation with the circulation area. The units were installed to raised timber plinths linked to seating areas and planters.

The flexibility of the Em-Glaze Modular Rooflight range enables Whitesales to provide the exact size with no visual breaks in the glazing. The double glazed units comprise of 6mm outer toughened, 18mm argon filled cavity and 6.4mm laminated inner. This gives a thermal transmission of 1.4W/m²k, sound reduction of 34db and a light transmission of 85%, whilst ensuring they are Non-Fragile and rated to Class B - BS EN 12600.
