Client: SDC Builders Ltd
Type of works: supply and installation of 120 auditorium seats with power and data supply and the ability to swivel through 90°.

The customer required a modern and comfortable seat, which would serve a number of purposes. The circular space was to be used for demonstrations carried out in the centre of the auditorium and lectures at the front, the seats in the side blocks had to be able to swivel.

Ferco engineers designed a large diameter seat swivel to accomodate the power and data cables. Its rotational movement was restricted to 90° to prevent damage to the cables, which were routed through a conduit, up through the legs and along the beams into the Wrimatic armrest.

The seats were based on Lamm's A1000 range, manufactured from injection-moulded polypropylene. Its contoured backrest is shaped to give lower back support and to provide comfort over extended periods. The back of the chair has Sincrolamm that allows it to recline slightly as the user leans back.
