Midas Construction, working on the Conran-designed development, required a postal room for its prestigious, contemporary City Lofts development in Cardiff. In July 2006, 180 mailboxes were designed, manufactured, supplied and installed by The Safety Letterbox Company. The challenge was to produce the most space-effective, practical mailbox, whilst providing a suitably fitting aesthetic look for such a design-led development.

The Safety Letterbox Company installed the mailboxes to ensure the smooth completion of the project. According to John McLaughlin, Midas Project Director, The Safety Letterbox Company was chosen for the project because it provided: ‘The right price, the right specification and the right delivery schedule’.
