Composite wall panels, insulating
Hunter Douglas Sun Control and Facades manufactures insulated facade systems in many types for use in commercial, industrial and residential
buildings. The facade systems include CWCT and LPCB approved Hunter Douglas HP+ Sandwich Wall panels: a fully-integrated system, incorporating windows, doors, louvres and sun-control systems.
Bi-Modular Sandwich Wall (CWCT and LPCB approved) is a double-skinned, insulated cladding with CFC- and HCFC-free foam or mineral-wool core for exceptional thermal insulation. Fully integrated windows, doors and louvres available.
Hunter Douglas Sandwich Wall panels are connected by means of a secret, or concealed, fixing clamp at the panel joint, which is able to accommodate thermal movement. The fixing secures the panel back using the inner skin and does not rely upon through fixings, which would create a cold bridge if done from the outer to inner skins into the building.
The system also boasts a unique top-down installation method for cladding and glazing. This means the roof, parapet and walls can be completed in sequence, also allowing scaffolding to be struck as work proceeds. It ensures minimal site damage during erection, which is particularly beneficial as bottom panels can be left until the later stages while adjacent groundwork operations are completed.
