Type of works: design, manufacture and installation of Encasement's n-case Versa pipe boxing.

Versa pipe boxing from Encasement has been used extensively to conceal central heating pipe work at a major refurbishment and conversion project for Darlington Primary Care NHS Trust.

Before being converted into offices for Darlington NHS and undergoing a major refurbishment programme, the three-storey building previously housed a BT telephone exchange, which served the local area.

As part of the interior refurbishment, the central heating system and pipe work was replaced, which was boxed in using hundreds of metres of n-case Versa pipe boxing to conceal both horizontal and vertical pipes, giving a clean, aesthetic finish on each floor.

An integral part of the pipe boxing was the use of integrated external and internal corners from the Versa accessories range, which allowed the installers to achieve a high standard of finish throughout the building in offices, meeting rooms and the main reception area.
