Derby City Central Hospital

Derby City Central Hospital

Client: Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Contractor: Stanfield Building Services
Type of works: supply of Harmer SML socketless, lightweight, dry-jointed, cast-iron pipework system.

Alumasc was specified for the Derby Hospital project due to a strong product offer, along with a proven track record on large projects such as Norwich & Norfolk Hospital and Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Alumasc worked closely with contractor, Stanfield Building Services of Stoke-on-Trent, to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries and a high level of site support, in order to deliver a high-quality project on schedule.

The Harmer SML socketless, lightweight, dry-jointed, cast-iron pipework system was specified for the Derby Hospital project. Pipes and fittings are simply joined with either ductile or stainless steel rubber-lined couplings. The system also includes bracketry for restraining the pipework vertically and horizontally and a wide range of special connectors for linking with other materials. Harmer SML pipework can be teamed with Harmer Floor drains and Harmer Roof outlets, which are designed for ease of installation and provide highly efficient rainwater handling solutions.
