Diespeker brings seamless class to Fucina London

Diespeker brings seamless class to Fucina London

Diespeker delivered a total of 55m² terrazzo floorspace for Fucina London.

Fucina is a new Italian restaurant located in Chiltern Street, Marylebone and is aplace for ‘casual-luxury’. It serves only organic produce – including wine and soft drinks – and has a quirky adjoining panetteria for baking bread in-house.

Perfectly fitting the architect’s vision of a sculpted space echoing raw and refined materials, the resulting restaurant flooring sections use approximately 16,000 white Carrara marble shapes in a dark grey cement base, poured for a seamless finish.

Diespeker selected the block of Carrara marble and finished in the company’s factory in South East London ready to lay by hand on site.

The terrazzo flooring adjoins timber flooring, so 3mm anodised aluminium transition strips are used flush between the two floor finishes.
