Don’t miss your shot at Sustainability Awards glory

The Bathroom Manufacturers Association invites all members to showcase their commitment to sustainability and innovation in the industry.

The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) is issuing a rallying call to members, urging them to seize the opportunity of entering their Sustainability Awards 2023. The entry deadline is only three weeks away, so time is running out to showcase the groundbreaking strides towards a greener future and reduced environmental impact within the sector.

Sustainability is an essential pillar of the BMA's ethos, reflecting the remarkable endeavours undertaken by its members to enhance water efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and create a greener future. The BMA Sustainability Awards serve as a testament to these ambitious initiatives.

Building upon the resounding success of the 2021 and 2022 awards, this year’s contest promises to elevate the industry's sustainability champions. As part of BMA’s annual Industry Conference at the Carden Park Hotel, the award ceremony on October 10th is poised to be a night of inspiration and recognition.

However, the path to accolades demands swift action, as all entries must be submitted by midnight on August 31st.

Tom Reynolds, Chief Executive of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association, said: “While our industry faces ongoing challenges, our members continue to improve their sustainable credentials. The awards are an important way to signal those efforts to the wider world.

“The entries we receive are independently judged by experts on water efficiency, carbon reduction and adoption of circular economy principles. The awards are our time to come together and celebrate the efforts in every entry.”

Submission made simple
Entering the 2023 awards has been streamlined for ease and accessibility. A concise 300–400-word narrative is all it takes to articulate your transformative project, product, or initiative for the discerning judges. This narrative should delve into the project's origins, the dedicated team behind it, the implemented processes, and, most crucially, the outcomes achieved.

Moreover, a video of up to three minutes is required to give your submission a dynamic visual dimension. The emphasis here is on substance rather than sophisticated filming, with an iPhone recording or an engaging captioned slideshow being entirely acceptable. The video should succinctly convey the pivotal aspects of the submission.

Coveted categories
Each category spotlights a facet of sustainable excellence. Manufacturers are encouraged to vie for recognition in the following categories:

1. Carbon Reduction Award
2. Water Efficient Innovation Award
3. Open Award

The clock is ticking, and the spotlight awaits. Embrace this chance to be lauded as a sustainability champion of change within the bathroom manufacturing landscape.
