The use of lime mortar declined in the 20th Century, particularly after World War 2, with the development of Portland cements. However in the last couple of decades, there has been a renaissance in the use of lime mortars, not only for historical buildings, but also for new builds, as architects and house builders have rediscovered its benefits and applications in building design over those of cement.
EcoRight Ltd, part of the Owlsworth Group of Companies, manufacture a comprehensive range of lime based building products, designed with current and future building requirements in mind. Whilst EcoRight lime products are true to their traditional roots, they have been developed and delivered for modern building processes and quality standards, offering a viable and more eco-friendly alternative to cement based mortars.
