Elmgrove Point, Plumstead, Greater London

Client: Elmgrove Point
Type of works: supply of Petrarch rainscreen cladding.

A new development which has created 119 affordable new homes at Elmgrove Point, Plumstead has been completed with Petrarch rainscreen cladding from CEP, providing visual impact to the ground floor podium.

Opposite Plumstead railway station, the building features a three storey and seven storey podium block supporting a thirteen storey tower. 1,100 m² of Petrarch 7mm stone cladding was installed using structural adhesive and an aluminium helping hand. Manufactured in East Sussex, Petrarch's strength and lightweight, combined with its wide range of colours and three surface finishes, makes it the ideal choice for unique rainscreen facade applications.

Ease of handling, simple fixing, plus savings on other structural costs makes Petrarch an economic alternative to more traditional methods.
