Evaporative space cooling: CREC

EcoCooling CREC is a computer room evaporative cooler. Suitable for both new installations and retrofit, this is a modular system designed to provide both an energy-efficient and low-carbon solution to the cooling of server rooms and data centres.

The CREC is 95% more energy efficient than traditional refrigeration systems. Based on EcoCooling's ECP range, the CREC has an additional patented attemperation system which allows a constant temperature to be supplied to the server room. Hot air is mixed with ambient or naturally cooled air, using a single damper. A standard CREC module will supply 3 cubic metres of air per second, which can support over 35kW of IT load. A single control panel can control up to 6 coolers all of which can be connected to Modbus or Ethernet.
