Trojan external blinds are one of the most efficient and flexible forms of solar control. With the louvres closed, as little as 10% of the solar gain will be transmitted through the glass. This reduces the air-conditioning load or eliminates the need for it, allowing healthier, natural ventilation. Independently validated data is available from the Shade Specifier section of the companys website.
The blinds can be raised in the winter or on overcast days and their angle of tilt can be regulated to let in natural daylight whilst still eliminating glare.
Correctly adjusting the louvre angle of the Trojan blind considerably improves the distribution of daylight, reducing high levels of light intensity close to the window and increasing light in the deeper recesses of the room. They also control and diffuse light, thus eliminating glare without impeding ventilation.
Hallmark SC600 external roller blind is an effective method of reducing solar gain, and when used with a mesh fabric allows outward vision and good light levels. Thermal comfort, glare control, natural ventilation and light in one attractive solution.
