Hall 4 Stand C15 NEC Birmingham
Finalist for the IFSEC Security Industry Awards, FAAC (UK) will be showcasing its new range of operators for automatic gates, barriers and doors at this years IFSEC exhibition in May. The new range will include the latest swing gate operators, the award nominated S418 and the hybrid powered S450, along with the C720 low-voltage patented operator for sliding gates. Also on display will be FAACs new XT generation of transmitters, as well as the E124 control board, considered to be the highest performance electronic control unit for swing gate operators currently on the market.
Shortlisted in the physical security product category, the S418 is capable of moving a gate with a leaf up to 2.7 metres while only requiring a 24V power supply. This makes it both safer and environmentally efficient and ideal for complex installations, where its long stroke and multi-position fixing brackets give it greater flexibility. Under the adjustable control of FAACs E124 control board, it is capable of faster operation than existing FAAC products and a virtual encoder allows the gate to reverse if an obstacle is detected.
A contender for IFSECs access control product of the year, the E124 control board is compatible with all FAAC 24V swing gate systems and will also control other brands of operators. Unlike any other FAAC control board, the E124 has 50 different power levels and 10 different speeds which can be varied independently, adding to the flexibility of the system. It can be programmed via push buttons or, for advanced programming, connected to a PC using a USB cable. All software is free of charge and updates can be uploaded to the board as they become available.

New for 2009, FAAC will also be revealing its latest hybrid swing gate operator for residential and industrial applications. The S450 combines hydraulic technology with an energy efficient 24V motor to offer end users power savings when compared to conventional 230V hydraulic operators. Suitable for intense use, the S450 can operate with a gate leaf up to 3 metres.
FAACs extensive technological expertise is perfectly demonstrated in the high performance C720 which uses almost half the power required by other operators currently available. Based on the FAAC patented speed reduction principle, the 24V C720 has a mechanical efficiency of over 80 per cent and reduced noise and vibration make it the ideal choice for residential properties.
Also on the stand will be the stylish new XT range of transmitters which are available with either Rolling Code or Self Learning Hopping code with FAAC patented transmitter to transmitter programming functionality, allowing them to be used with existing systems. The XT transmitters offer excellent protection against intrusion as the code varies whenever the transmitter is used. New ergonomic design makes the control easier to operate and handle.
Committed to providing the safest and most reliable automation solutions, all FAACs new products undergo rigorous testing in their research and development department. Working in partnership with installers, FAAC offer free product training and regular updates to ensure the end-user receives the highest quality of installation. FAAC also provide a spares and parts service and next day delivery is available on most products.
