Coates Fencing Limited produces a varied range of steel handrailing and barriers. Examples illustrated include a pedestrian barrier with a vertical-bar infill, purpose-made railings and guardrails.

Generally, fabrication is undertaken to the architect’s drawing and specification or purpose made to suit site conditions. Survey and installation facilities are available for UK requirements.

Coates manufactures pedestrian barriers to its own specification, complying with BS 7818:1995. Particular features include: all-welded construction of each unit; hidden joint-bolted fixing and a tailor-made service for erection into pockets or for anchor bolting to level, raked, straight or curved locations.

Most similar requirements for vehicle or pedestrian barriers can be produced, constructed from rectangular, square or circular hollow-section steel components.

Coates also supplies and installs untensioned vehicle-safety barriers.
