Flashings

Ubbink Ubiflex is a non-lead flashing material which can be used in all applications where lead is traditionally installed. It is suitable for a variety of applications and can also be used to form damp-proof courses and cavity trays. It is also compatible with structural components and common building materials.

Ubiflex is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and recyclable. Ubiflex is the only flashing system available with a BBA Certificate, no. 08/4577.

Ubiflex is manufactured by coating both sides of an aluminium mesh reinforcement with a mixture of modified bitumen and additives. The range is available in nine different widths at 6 or 12m in length. It has a minimum thickness of 3mm. Colour options include: Grey, Black and Terracotta.

Ubiflex is 80% lighter and 50% quicker to install than lead. It is also guaranteed for 25 years.

In addition to a BBA certificate, Ubiflex received excellent results in wind tunnel tests at the BRE. This testing demonstrated that Ubiflex can resist wind speeds of at least 110mph and withstand temperatures from -30 to 90°C.
