Type of works: supply and refurbishment of a 9-bay, single-storey modular building for a members’ clubhouse.

When the grounds of the new golf course and country club at Flaxby, near Harrogate, were completed, the course owners began sourcing quotations for a members’ club house incorporating a bar with cellar facilities, a course office and kitchen area, male and female toilets with showers and an open-plan lounge area with restaurant and pro-shop.

Alan Armstrong, a partner in the Flaxby Park business, explains: "We asked PK Accommodation to supply a quote for the cost of the project and were surprised at how reasonable it was; it sat nicely with our original business plan."

PK Accommodation sourced a 9-bay, single-storey modular building and began the refurbishment programme after agreeing the price with the business partnership that owns Flaxby Park.
