Flowcretes Acoustic Screed Combo Offers Sound Choice
Flowcretes Isocrete Acoustic K combines noise-reduction efficiency with the time-proven performance of Isocrete screeds.
The system comprises an acoustic resilient layer and screed and is installed as a complete system on site by just one trained applicator.
Acoustic K can also be used in conjunction with Flowcretes Isowarm underfloor heating system to produce a quiet, warm environment - without the need for radiators.
Applied by specialist Flowcrete-approved contractors, Acoustic K complies with Building Regulations, offers a reduced screed thickness and enables an early installation of sensitive finishes, over the substrate. It is approved by the British Board of Agrément.
Alan Dean, Sales Director of Flowcrete, said: Isocrete Acoustic K is a complete system, not just components.
Test results from independent sources show it achieves results well in excess of the requirements set out by Approved Document E, of the Building Regulations 2003.
The system delivers peace of mind for main contractors and architects that they can achieve a high acoustic performance, with just one contractor responsible for the entire procedure.
The Acoustic K system is also available as part of Flowcretes Floorzone concept, which caters for the complete floor construction, incorporating thermal insulation, Isowarm underfloor heating, Isocrete K-Screed and decorative resin finishes, as well as the acoustic product.
The entire Floorzone package is designed, manufactured and supplied by Flowcrete and installed by Flowcrete approved contractors.
Floorzone offers a range of benefits - including the delivery of heating out of sight, with no risk of injuries from hot surfaces through the use of Isowarm underfloor heating. This system also offers energy savings of up to 30 per cent compared to conventional heating systems whilst delivering a healthier environment.
Flowcrete recently secured the prestigious Best At Show Award at Interbuild Specifier with its unique Floorzone concept.
Judges felt Floorzone addresses the need for a more sustainable built environment.
Alan Dean added: Floorzone means that specifiers can achieve a high acoustic performance, time proven screed and energy saving underfloor heating along with a decorative floor finish from Flowcretes extensive range - with just one contractor responsible for the entire procedure.
It offers sustainable benefits, with all products arriving on site from one source, and the number of contractor visits to site reduced as well. All Flowcrete floors are designed with sustainability in mind and have been used in BREEAM Excellent rated projects.
