Flowcrete to the Rescue for Emergency Service
Specialist flooring manufacturer Flowcrete stepped in to deliver a performance system for fire fighters in Staffordshire.
Durable, chemical and slip resistant flooring from Flowcrete has been specified by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service for the refurbishment of two of its existing stations in the county.
Flowcrete approved applicator Phoenix Specialist Contractors, based in Cannock, applied Flowcrete HF in red to the appliance bays at both Cheadle and Wombourne fire stations
Flowcrete HF is a heavy duty, abrasion and chemical resistant polyurethane floor finish, with excellent slip resistance. Able to cope with wheeled traffic and high levels of impact and wear and tear. It is also easy to maintain and can even be steam cleaned.
The flooring solution was devised specifically by Phoenix and Flowcrete for architects at Staffordshire County Council, to meet the local authoritys need to adhere to budgetary requirements, without forfeiting on performance.
Alan Dean, sales director of Flowcrete, said: Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service required a bespoke heavy duty flooring solution which would stand up to the movement of fire appliances and provide a safe, anti-slip surface for their firefighters.
