Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Glasgow

8 Dec 2011

Project: Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Glasgow
Client: Keppie Design, Laing O’Rourke
Type of works: adapted the Harlow concrete benches

We were contacted by Architects Keppie Design, who required attractive, low-maintenance seating for Forth Valley Royal Hospital that would also act as an anti-ram raid protector.

We adapted the Harlow concrete benches to incorporate security channels, which have been a successful anti-ram raid component within our Gunner security bollard for many years. This has provided aesthetically pleasing, durable seating for patients and visitors that acts as a security barrier whilst blending into the environment.

The contractors on the project were Laing O’Rourke and we liaised with them regarding, product, ordering and delivery of the benches.
