Composition and manufacture
Boards are hydrophobated (sealed) on edges and faces which prevents discolouration and moisture staining. The board formulation does not contain quartz. Trace quantities of quartz may be present.
Size and weight
|Board size (mm)||Thickness (mm)||Weight (kg/m2)||Density (kg/m3)|
|2500 x 1200||8||14.6||1700|
|3050 x 1200||8||14.6||1700|
Supplied in a standard size, the boards can alsobe cut to satisfy the specific geometry of the facade, or simple formats such as a weatherboard appearance.
Minerit Incolor is available in a range of 5 through-colours, and 1 Black-coated option. The natural hues give visual subtlety and flexibility. This provides a display of colour which accentuates the fact that this is a natural material with character. The intrinsic colour nuances of the boards create facades that do not require maintenance.
Minerit Incolor cladding panels should always be installed using a ventilated construction method, allowing for a 20mm hollow air gap between the substrate and the back of the panel.
A minimum 6mm gap between the sheets must also be allowed, at both horizontal and vertical joints. All framework must be securely fixed, and provide a true and level surface for the panels.
Cembrit also offers a technical advice service regarding product selection, detailing and installation. Consult manufacturer for further details.
