Composition and manufacture
Systems for concrete decks include:
Impact 18, a deck system comprising a layer of resilient foam bonded to 18mm thickness, with a moisture-resistant chipboard.
Acoustic Batten, LRAC foam bonded to a softwood batten, which can be overlaid directly with the flooring or with an intermediate layer of 19mm plank plasterboard if required.
Systems for timber decks include:
Tranquilt, LRAC foam under-screed isolation layer.
Bridgestop, isolation for party walls, continual slab.
Deck 9, 8mm LRAC foam bonded to 9mm thickness moisture-resistant MDF, for projects where the increase in floor level must be kept to a minimum if additional mass is required. Deck 18, LRAC foam bonded to 18mm moisture-resistant chipboard.
Deck 22, LRAC foam bonded to 22mm
moisture-resistant chipboard, for projects with existing timber decks.
Acoustic Strip, LRAC foam bonded to a securing membrane, for timber floors where the existing flooring will be removed. Tri-batten is a system for timber-frame construction, comprising LRAC foam bonded to a softwood batten, with a geotextile fibrous mat to enable the fixing of the batten to the subfloor. Deck 18 is a system for steel-frame construction, comprising LRAC foam bonded to 18mm moisture-resistant chipboard.
Tri-deck is a system for timber floors where limited or no access can be gained to improve the treatments of the ceiling.
