Galex Plasma low pitch extension

Galex Plasma low pitch extension

A customer extended the rear of their property by just under 4.5 metres of rafter length, this would equate to an external wall extension of just over 4 metres.

The homeowner also wanted natural light to enter their new extension.

They provided them with the option of using their Galex Plasma clay roof tile, it fulfilled all their criteria, ie they wanted their extension roof to have a flat tile as opposed to a profiled one, they wanted a tile that would retain its anthracite colour ( as opposed to using a concrete tile which would fade and eventually turn a murky brown, they also wanted natural light in the form of roof windows.

Using their tile allowed the homeowner to have their roof just as they wanted.

As the Galex Plasma is a clay tile with a very low water absorption, the possibility of fading is totally eliminated, the likelihood of moss or lichens growing on the tiles was next to zero and the fact that their tiles work perfectly well with roof windows sealed the deal.

That roof will last for several generations with ease, the Galex Plasma tiles are produced to the same quality levels as engineering bricks.

The Plasma tile can be installed straight bond, giving a contemporary look to the extension or in broken bond fashion for a more traditional look to the roof. Either way zero compromise will be required.
