This year’s Ecobuild sees Gerflor previewing the most sustainable innovations from its extensive range of high performance and durable vinyl flooring products, interior finishes and accessory solutions, for the contract, sports and housing sectors.

Taraflex™ sports flooring solutions are used in both community and professional venues where first class performance and comfort count. Gerflor, through its IHF and FIVB partnerships, will supply courts for Volleyball and Handball tournaments during the London 2012 Olympic Games and for Sitting Volleyball during the Paralympic Games. Taraflex Sport M Comfort™ and Taraflex™ Multi-Use 6.2 cater, respectively, for the needs of multi-sport and multi-use venues.

For the healthcare sector, Mipolam Symbioz is Gerflor’s brand new top-of-the range flooring solution. It is the only abrasion group T flooring to combine the lowest weight ever for a 2mm homogeneous product; an exclusive bio-based plasticiser made from 100% organic sources; 40 times lower VOC emissions than European standards and a revolutionary new surface treatment, all coupled with fresh designs and colours to suit any needs.

Among Gerflor’s many other innovations are its fast track solutions that are ideal for the refurbishment of heavy traffic areas including receptions and corridors. Both GTI and Attraction are tile products that have a dovetail joint connecting system which makes the tiles quick and easy to install or replace. GTI is ideally suited to industrial and retail situations, such as production, stocking and packaging areas, while Attraction is perfect for shops, supermarkets and bars.

Gerflor’s luxury vinyl tile ranges include Creation. This is a sophisticated, low maintenance and flexible collection of decorative tiles and strips. Available in a choice of sizes and offering over 120 highly realistic references, Creation embraces wood and mineral finishes. It is ideal for bringing life to high traffic areas such as retail, hotel, healthcare, office, nursing home and education reception environments.

The award winning Creation Clic System consists of interlocking planks which clip together vertically using Gerflor’s patented ‘Clic’ technology, helping to reduce downtime and disruption. The product has a wide range of applications including reception areas, the bedrooms and living rooms of retirement homes, offices, hotels, shops and cafeterias.

Gerflor Residential Floorings will present its latest, high quality, sound-insulating, loose-lay flooring systems at Ecobuild. Designed for quick and easy installation, these innovations include Easitex, a pioneering new 4.2mm ultra thick, 0.7 tog and 20db sound insulation rated sheet flooring in attractive designs and colours for the home. It features a patented, textile backing and 90% RH resistant, waterproof interlayer to facilitate up to 35 sq. m of adhesive-free installation and has an R10 slip resistant, highly durable, 0.35mm thick, PureClean™ surface layer. 100% recyclable, Easitex also contains a high percentage of recycled material including 97% recycled fibres in its GFT backing.

In addition, Gerflor is unveiling a series of advanced, environmentally-friendly, recyclable, loose-lay, ‘clic’ system floorings for residential housing environments.
