Gergask Primary School in the Scottish Highlands is one of the many schools to have had its accommodation extended with a Rapidplan™ 3000 modular classroom, courtesy of Wernick™ Buildings.

The Highland Council, responsible for the school, asked Wernick™ to make the design as energy efficient as possible.

First, Wernick™ made sure that the building was well insulated and air-tight, to eliminate heat loss. Then, working with Dimplex, a decision was made that an under floor heating system should be powered by an air source pump, which would source heat from the air.
