The Louvre Abu Dhabi will be a cultural institution of global importance, housing priceless works of art from around the world. The contract includes the supply of SR4 security rated shutters providing high levels of physical protection and operational efficiency for the museum.

David Cerquella, Managing Director of Gilgen Door Systems in the UK, says: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and to be associated with a building of such global multi-cultural importance. It is significant that Gilgen Security Shutters were chosen and further testament to the innovation, strength and quality of our Rolegard high security range”. The contract was awarded to Gilgen following a successful trial of three full size Rolegard shutters within a working prototype of the Louvre building. The intensive trial was designed to test the suitability of equipment to the unique operational requirements of the museum.
