Type of works: Two large canopies, designed and installed at the airport to provide the public with outdoor smoking shelters.

The canopies were designed to give enhanced aesthetics and offer a more practical, adaptable space. One of the canopies also provides outdoor seating for the adjacent coffee shop. Specialist canopy designer, fabricator and installer Clovis Canopies completed the installation, including ground works, during normal airport hours and on time by liaising closely with the client and site staff.The larger of the canopies measures 6 x 7m and the other 3 x 11m. The mild steel frameworks are shot blast, Beckryzinc primed and powder coated goose-wing Grey to BS 4800:1989. The roof coverings are a reinforced white flame-retardant PVC fabric.
