Glass Walls At Harrods Technology Department

Glass Walls At Harrods Technology Department

Client: Dixons
Architect: Dixons
Contractor: Wedderburn
Type of works: installation of two Commandoor glass walls.

Harrods new technology department now benefits from the installation of two Commandoor glass walls. These low voltage controlled movable, acoustically rated glazed walls can be repositioned in just a few minutes. Each panel looks like a giant i-phone and when all are assembled together they create a tranquil room for customers to experience audiovisual equipment without disturbance from the shoppers around them. Equally as quickly the room can be dismantled and the shop floor is opened up to full size again.

Dixons have been pleased with Multiwal products in the past and when the Commandoor was launched in 2011 they were quick to realise that this is new technology, which very much fits in with image of innovation in this prestigious location. The Commandoor is fast becoming a product that works very well in large domestic spaces where it is desirable to have a room within a room without visual separation. The flush-faced glass gives this product elegance, ideal for businesses as well as contemporary home designs.
