Booth was awarded the design, manufacture and installation of air- and gas-tight hinged single-leaf doors as an upgrade of an existing laboratory facility. Whilst the doorsets use a series of manually operated compression latches to provide uniform seal pressure, these eliminated the requirement for door openings to be ‘taped’ during testing and cleaning of the laboratory area using toxic chemicals, thus allowing faster operation and utilisation of the laboratory. Fabricated in carbon steel, the hinged single-leaf doorsets were supplied as a complete assembly with stainless-steel furniture.
